Council update post 2023 flooding: The shelving and flooring have been carefully removed and are stored in a container in the carpark across the river Full silt/earthen removal will not take place until we have confirmed the design solution – or if required to complete design. (multiple layers of flooding debris built up over the past 100yrs) Waiting on internal contract establishment for an agreed seismic / heritage architect process to achieve a renewal that lifts seismic rating and seeks to provide far greater protection to the building during future flooding events Unfortunately there will be some time to pass before a final consented solution can be implemented. I will keep pressure on the process to try and keep things moving as fast as possible.
